MARVEL MOVIE REVIEW MONDAY! (AVENGERS: ENDGAME PART 1)

This is it folks! After 11 years and 21 movies, we have hit the Endgame! I got lucky, between two different internet browsers going on my computer, the movie theater app going on both iPhone AND my iPad, to try and ensure I got at least ONE ticket, I got into the 4:45pm showing on Friday of opening weekend. AND IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!! SO LET'S DIVE IN!

"Avengers: Endgame" (Directors: Anthony and Joe Russo)

If you have gotten this far in the blog, you have seen the movie, or you don't care. But if you don't care, I have you ask why you are even reading this. But let's ignore that, and just get to this movie.

OH MY FREAKING GOD!!!!! This was a movie I thought I was ready for, and legit, you THINK you are ready for it. The fact is, YOU AREN'T. Even if there are parts that you think you have seen coming (there were plenty of rumors about that going around the internet), IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!! EMBRACE THE FEELS PEOPLE!!!

Just for reference, here are ALL the trailers:

In all honesty, as the lights dimmed, I felt my heart in my chest and sat at the edge of my seat. One thing I will say is HOLY SHIT RDJ LOST A LOT OF WEIGHT! You can sort of see it when he's doing his video to Pepper using the helmet, but when you see the movie, it makes you wonder just HOW MUCH this franchise has affected them all! I mean, even Hawkeye (again, he's seen in the trailers), has the harder look to him, and that gets explained as well. I think out of JUST THIS MOVIE and group of characters we have, my two favorites were Thor and Stark. Without saying HOW or WHY, for those two, it felt like more just from them, like they knew there was more on the line in some way, shape or form. I mean, just from how Thor looks in the trailers, you can SEE how he is struggling internally with failure. And, yeah (AGAIN NOT GIVING AWAY SPOILERS) Rocket actually points out how they ALL feel that way (remember, Rocket survived the snap as we watched in utter heartbreak as Groot faded with one last "I am Groot") but it feels like you can see from just the faces of Thor and Stark how much more it affects them.

As the movie came to a close, I cheered loudly with the rest of the movie theater, and my heart broken into a million pieces. The journey that this whole road has taken me on has been such a ride. I can measure most of my life against these movies, and this felt like true closure. The movie felt complete, and when I left, while we know there is another Spider-Man movie due later this year, I would have been happy if this had been just the end of it all. However, with the money this franchise has been churning, that ship isn't going to stop.

Regardless, future movies from this point on, I am not sure how they will tie in, unless they are from the end of this movie and going forward (or possibly true origin stories, I am not sure). This movie just felt right. Truly worth the wait.

Happy Self-Promotion Sunday!!!! (NO SPOILERS!!!)

Hello everyone!!! Hope everyone has been able to do something fun this weekend, besides go and see the new "Avengers" movie. I promise you there will be NO SPOILERS IN THIS POST! I also promise that in my Movie Review Monday blog tomorrow, I do not spoil anything. I did my best to make it a REACTION POST ONLY and reference only the trailers. I WILL be doing a longer blog about the movie in a few weeks.

In the meantime, first up: CONS ARE COMING! I have Undiscovered Realm Con coming up in the first weekend of May, and I can't wait. Check out the map to see where I will be!

The following weekend will be Hudson Valley Comic Con, and again, check out the map to see where I will be!

Next, I have a lot of new figurines ready to go for the cons! I am not posting any of these until after the cons--I am not going to run out of stock before the cons! But I have a lot of new stuff I can't wait to show off! First up, I FINALLY finished large Dancing Butterflies.

Next up, I did a Cutie Mark Crew Flutterbat! I kept one for myself, to add to my Fluttershy collection. I will go more into that on Friday!

Also, I updated Luna to give her more sparkly mane and tail.

Also, GOOSE IS FINISHED!!! I finally added collar! I love his look!

Lastly, new Eevee's, including SHINY Eevee! These have a tendency to be snatched up as soon as I put them out so I am definitely holding onto them until the cons!

Also, remember we got "Endgame" out now! I will be doing a few paintings of the Infinity Gauntlet over the next few days, doing some paint pouring techniques, and stuff, and I cannot wait to show them off! In the meantime, check out my "Endgame" inspired design (BY TRAILER, NOT BY THE MOVIE!):

Happy Easter Sunday! (Self-Promotion!)

Hello fellow readers! So, some new cons on the radar, so lets update the convention list, shall we?

Undiscovered Realm Con: May 4th and May 5th
Hudson Valley ComicCon: May 11th and May 12th
MinCon: July 13th
LockCity ComicCon: July 27th
TerrifiCon: August 9th to the 11th
LI Tropic Con: August 18th
SyCon: September 14th
NaugyCon: TBD

I will still be attending BronyCon, but I have yet to find a saint who will help me out and share a table with me. I can only continue to ask for someone to help me out with this. As far as Undiscovered Con, I will make sure to post up a map next week. Info should be going out soon from the con. I also plan to apply to AnimeNYC, so keep fingers crossed for me for that!

New stuff is slowly getting done. I have been on break this past week, and I have been splitting my time between trying to finish designs for BronyCon Art Show and Charity Auction, and new merch. Speaking of Brony, though, my latest digital piece has been inspired by the 200th episode and I will put it up on Redbubble later on:

A few figurines done for this week. Most stuff I am holding off on putting up on my store because I have two cons coming up back to back, so I want to have enough merch. BUT, as there seems to be a bit of a vintage theme for this last season of My Little Pony, I have been doing a few throwbacks of older G1 ponies in G4 style! I have started my favorite girl, Dancing Butterflies, but I am waiting on new hair for her tail. In the meantime, you can check out Firefly, Flutterbye, Minty and Painting Time!

Also, another Twilight to add to the stock pile, tweaked my Rarity, plus another Luna (I am getting quite fond of this style of Luna). I also added a gem to my Bowsette, plus I am working on a Goose figurine! I need to make his collar, but I am quite proud of how he is coming out! He looks really realistic, that it's sort of scary to me.

Self-Promotion Sunday

Hello fellow readers! I write this as I lie in bed, sick as a dog. I am finally done with my exam, and can only hope that I pass, and will not have to write anything more with regards to that. So keep your fingers crossed for me, readers!

In the meantime, I am still looking for someone to let me share a table with them for BronyCon for at least one day. Is there anyone out there who will be a dear and share? I really just want one day, one single day, to vend some of my wares.

And speaking of wares, let me show off the new stuff, starting with the figurines that I have finished. They will be up for sale soon on my Etsy page, so keep an eye out on my Etsy page over the next few days!

Also, check out my new designs up on Redbubble, especially if you are as excited for "Endgame" as I am!

Con Review Tuesday!

Hey readers! Time for a quick con review! So, as many of you know, I have been a bit scarce due to my comprehensive exam. However, on March 23rd and 24th I was able to make my way out to CT GamerCon, which has become a con that I enjoy quite a bit. This con, when I went last year, was on the smaller side, but definitely felt bigger this year, probably because they opened up the space rather than separate the vendors area and the gaming area. I think by making it more open, they helped their vendors by encouraging more sales, which I appreciate. I intend to attend their other event, TerrifiCon, in August. I've heard nothing but good things about it, so I can't wait. I tried a new table set-up, with lights included. I might need more for the back part, but the new lights worked out very well in terms of helping to draw attention to the merchandise. It also worked out because half the time, the lights would get dimmed due to the video games being played on the other side of the divider. I won't complain, because as you can see, it definitely helped out.

I sold a lot of stuff at this con, almost depleting my stock! No joke! I had two downsides: one was a figurine I had just finished was broken (by accident) by a little girl who was too eager to get her hands on it. Now, I pride myself a LOT on the fact that how I make my figurines and that it's hard to break any of my figurines. With this figurine, it was an accessory that I had added to the hand that broke off, which was already giving me a bit of trouble I had noticed, but had fixed with some heavy duty super glue. The break was a clean break, and could have been fixed, but mother said she would buy it regardless. So there is a big plus on that. I'm pretty sure that mom posted a video about me explaining the dolls somewhere. As long as my art is appreciated, then I am rewarded. In fact, I had a repeat customer from last year show up and grab some of my items as well! It was awesome to see someone who remembered me from last year.

The other issue I had was my neighbor on my right having this giant display stand for their pillows, which blocked my table from sight from people coming in that direction, and limited the fact that I could only put up one print on the outside of the display. Now, I won't complain TOO much, because I can sympathize with the seller's reasoning for not wanting to move the display--when you have something like pillows that people want to grab, it can be an easy target for theft. But I do wish that the person had thought of maybe another spot to put the display. It seemed like, with some of the other stuff they had going on, they weren't able to move it. My biggest worry was that someone would knock into their display and it would cause a domino effect. You can sort of see the display area I am referring to in the second picture below.

Next con will be Undiscovered Con, for the first weekend in May, which is good for me, because I will need a break after all my exam work! But definitely come on out to this con, especially if you are local, because it should be epic! Click on the link to check out what's to come!

Happy Fluttershy Friday! I'M MOVING!!! (Also, #154, 155, 156, and 157!!!)

OK, so first and foremost, SO SORRY for not a lot of posts. Creative burnout is real, as well as some BIG news... I AM MOVING INTO MY OWN H...
